Hi there! I’m Belinda Blue Sherouse, the heart behind the camera at Belinda Blue Photo Co. My love affair with photography started when I was 15, after begging my parents for a "big girl" DSLR for Christmas. I had spent countless hours on Tumblr, following every photography blog I could find. That camera opened up a whole new world for me, and I've been snapping away ever since.
In college, my passion took a vintage turn—I became obsessed with thrifting for old film cameras, fixing them up, and capturing life through their unique lenses. There’s something magical about the nostalgia and character that vintage cameras bring to a moment.
Fast forward to now: I'm a part-time lifestyle photographer and full-time mom to my darling daughter, Georgia. Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I was a professional children’s psychotherapist, a role that taught me so much about patience, connection, and the beauty of small, meaningful moments. These are the very things I now strive to capture in my photography.
I feel incredibly privileged to document the sweet, fleeting moments between families—moments that tell your story and will be cherished for years to come. Whether we're shooting in the comfort of your home or at a favorite outdoor spot, my goal is to make you feel relaxed and to capture the love that makes your family unique.
On a personal note, I’m married to my favorite person, Hunter, who I met at summer camp. He’s my biggest cheerleader and the one I couldn’t do life without. We’re based in the Birmingham area, but we travel to see Hunter’s family every other month, so I’m thrilled to offer photography services in both Birmingham and Pensacola!
A few fun facts about us: We’re totally into the paleo lifestyle and love discovering new ways to keep our meals healthy and delicious. When I’m not behind the camera or chasing after Georgia, you might find me hunting for treasures at a thrift store or planning our next road trip!
